Dun! Dun! DD Suggestion Guidelines

Wed Sep 19, 2012, 4:00 PM

Hey all,

I'm a Literature ^CV now! And that means you can bug me with your DD suggestions! Here are some things to keep in mind when suggesting literature to me.

:bulletpink: 1 suggestion per note.

:bulletpink: A little enthusiasm while suggesting goes a long way.

:bulletpink: DD's can only be awarded to members once every 6 month period, not 3 months.

:bulletpink: Self-suggestions are welcome, but please consider your work carefully.

:bulletpink: Pieces that are for contests that have not yet finalized cannot be DD’d.

Send me

:bulletwhite: Originality - Whether it be unique thoughts, concepts, imagery, or characters.

:bulletwhite: Poetry - This is what I prefer, practice, and know best, but I will read everything you send my way!

:bulletwhite: Quality - Where the writer shows a firm grasp over what they are doing technically and emotionally.

:bulletwhite: Writing with Merit - A piece of literature can stand on its own with the help of a sound message.

:bulletwhite: Lastly, every piece of writing should resonate on an emotional level with somebody. Send me something I will want to keep reading!

If you have any questions please ask away (And check out :iconbeccalicious:, :iconthorns:, or :iconneurotype:).

Your friendly neighborhood armadillo, ^NicSwaner

Ride of the :la:kyries! Dun Dun Dun Da-- Dun Dun Dun Da DD's!

1) I go on vacation and dA appoints two new lit CVS. I should go on vacation more. :paranoid:

2) Congratulations! :iconlawooplz: This is so, so cool! You'll make a phenomenal CV and I will soon be spamming you with suggestions.

3) How was I not already watching you?

4) Hooray for emotional resonance! That's my #1 consideration when I DLD something. So I'm glad I'm not the only one who rates it highly! Speaking of which...

5) Are you still going to be a DLD Poetry admin? :?

6) Armadillo. Awesome. What's ^neurotype? Does she just get to be cake? But like a living, animal cake? Like Thorny Coconut? :eager:

7) CONGRATULATIONS AGAIN!

1) No! Don't go on vacation again! We luff you! :iconnewglomp:

2) =D Thanks, I think I will too, and you're already tied for first place for most suggestions! Will look at them soon! :iconlawooplz:

3) How was I not already watching YOU? Seriously, I thought I had all the DLD admins on my watch list. Now I have to doublecheck.

4)

5) Sadly, no. I didn't want to divide my time and resources between two great pillars of the community, and chose to focus on my CV activities. But I am still very supportive of DLD, you guys are my roots in the community. =) I am still suggesting work to DLD admins (so far: *xlntwtch (who featured ~TheOtherSarshi's The Translator), =SilverInkblot, and =TwilightPoetess), I'll put you next on my list.

6)Armadillos! :dummy: ^neurotype is a courageous cake who protects us from the ever present threat of the pie overlords (=GrimFace242).

7) :iconlaexcitedplz:

Are you less likely to award a DD to a piece that has already been featured? As in, if it has already received a goodly amount of attention, would it go farther down/not make your list?

That's just a bad angle of the poor fellow. Let me see if I can find a picture of him in the wild... :iconcoolplz: Yup, there we are.

That picture is so artistic, it really exemplifies the gentle and loving nature of the common armadillo.
